About Holly Martin, MS, LPC

Holly Martin is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas at Nova Cesta Counseling.  She holds an M.S. in Counseling from Southern Methodist University.

In her work with pre-teens, adolescents and adults, Holly strives to journey with her clients to notice what patterns they have acquired over time and which responses still serve them well.  Counseling can be an opportunity to explore how needs change over time.  There is hope in recognizing that we have the power to consider new possibilities.  Holly believes people of all ages have unique gifts and strengths that can empower them to reconnect to the joy in life.

Holly has a passion for working with parents and adolescents to build stronger relationships based on meaningful communication.  Holly approaches counseling through the lens of Interpersonal Neurobiology, which promotes compassion, resilience, and integration in both individuals and interpersonal relationships. Holly’s experience has prepared her to work with a wide variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, self-harm, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, life transitions, and LGBTQIA+ matters

Holly has been married for twenty-eight years and is a mom to two young adult daughters.  She is a Volunteer Mental Health Ambassador for the Grant Halliburton Foundation and serves on the board of UKirk SMU.  She enjoys reading, traveling, eating Tex-Mex, and hanging out with her dog, Mabel.
